Who are we ?

Experts in development of tailor-made ultra-light structures, since 2009

The desire to take up the challenge of developing alternative structural solutions led to the creation of the EC3D project in 2009. It first found echo with Normandy incubation with the EP2I system at the end of 2010.

The Ganil (Grand National Accelerator of Heavy Ions) welcomed us on its site during the year 2011 so that we can start the incubation of our project it allowed a continuous power, Strengthening intellectual property, constant technical and technological developments.

Recognized know-how

During this period, the Engineering Composite 3D project was supported by the Lower Normandy Region and the Ministry of Higher Education and Research which was awarded the "Creation of innovative technology companies" in 2011, Emergence category.

Our history

We first focused on the development of 3D structures woven in a multidirectional way, which allowed us to strengthen and develop our knowledge of fibrous preforms, their development mode as well as the devices necessary for the making of such structures, whether they are based on glass, aramid or carbon fibers.

Hooden materials and their very special knowledge also represent a major axis of studies and developments carried out over the past years. We have tried to understand the own mechanisms of these structures. We faced all of the modes of elaboration of these materials, whether made from thin or thicker metal strips, based on meta or para-aramid paper or based on carbon fibers linked to different types of matrices, whether epoxy, phenolic resin or even cyanate-eter.

Building on these works which allowed us a multi-material and multi-process approach to developing these structures, we are now able to offer advanced concepts and solutions in terms of mechanical properties relative to the existing and wish to see these structures be able to be produced and used in the coming years.

of soul material

Our company is focused on the research and development of new generation three -dimensional structures, intended to be used as a soul material. The singular choice of bringing the search effort on architectures and topologies to be used makes it possible to get rid of any restriction as to matter, and to decline the concepts in an uncommon number of segments.

A multitude of use cases

The concept of proposed products and services is double :

On the one hand, we propose the technological transfer of the concepts developed on the basis of the concepts developed internally, we offer solutions aimed at lightening sandwiches, without sacrificing performance. They all offer an improvement in mechanical characteristics compared to the existing, thereby allowing a saving of material and weight to the end customer, for at least at least at least equal resistance.

On the other, we decline and develop concepts to the "card" in the form of research and development services, as well as support for technological transfer. The goal is to integrate optimally, depending on the basic materials used by the customer, products in the sector concerned.
