The novelty of the approach used is to base the structural optimisation on the architectures of core materials, to structure geometries rather than to use more performant materials (which leads in the majority of cases to increased manufacturing costs through increased price of the raw materials used). In particular, this helps to enable the adaptation of performance to the desired objectives: equivalent performances with less material, hence production costs reduced and a lighter weight, or increased and improved performance for equivalent quantity of material, or somewhere in between those two points.
